Can I stay at a Crash Pad? Yes! The JFTR authorizes people on extended TDYs the option to stay off base regardless of whether there is availability in the base hotel or not. You'll pay the same standard lodging rate as you would on base. When staying with us you will NEVER pay ANYTHING out of pocket!
Do I need a non-availability slip to stay at Altus Pads? Absolutely not! We charge the same rate regardless of whether you have a Non-A or not. If you have a Non-A slip then you will get a little more in per-deim, but lodging reimbursement will be the same.
Is Altus Pads really better than base lodging? Without a doubt! If you like tiny rooms with even smaller kitchenettes, paper thin walls, slow internet, and dated worn out finishes then on base is for you... Our place is the exact opposite! For the same price you can stay at Altus Pads and have; A large fully stocked kitchen, large flat screens throughout, Xbox One, a full cable package with all the premium channels, lightning fast internet, weekly housekeeping, Queen sized pillow top beds with Egyptian Cotton Sheets, a foosball table and a backyard patio with a BBQ for grilling!
Is it a pain to get back on base? Nope! Our house is in the newest neighborhood in Altus and also the closest neighborhood to base. We're only 1.1 miles away from the main gate and will take no longer than 5min to get on base!
I already checked-in to the base hotel, can I leave? For sure! All you have to do is simply confirm availability with us and check out of the on-base billeting.
